Boundaries are Beautiful
Greetings from Mother Earth,
Yes. I’m talking about me. I’m Mother Earth.
Today is Earth Day, and in the spirit of the occasion, I proudly flaunt the nickname bestowed upon me by my friend Lisa. Whether it's color-coordinating my reusable bag collection or turning food scraps into compost gold, I'm all in! I hope you joined the recycling party and keep the green momentum going daily.
Now that we’ve covered that personality quirk, let’s get to this week’s writing topic: how to set boundaries.
As a professional who gets paid to craft powerful words, I often find myself in awe when someone else expresses something in a way I never would have thought of—so much so that I wish I'd written it myself.
Take this sentence, for example: "Please be aware that I triage emails and voicemails and respond in order of urgency, not necessarily time of receipt."
Now, if that isn't a thing of beauty, I don't know what is. In a world with constant expectations of immediate responses to everything, this sentence cuts through the noise.
If everything is urgent, then nothing is. This writer’s simple yet profound statement acknowledges that fact, sets a clear boundary, and efficiently manages expectations. As the great Brene Brown says, “Boundaries are the way I can love you and me simultaneously.”
Honestly, I’m simply here for it. Reading it makes me feel calmer, and I want to give this person all my business for their superpower. It’s a reminder of how, when done right, writing can make life just a little bit easier.
If you’re ready to craft words that capture attention and leave a lasting positive impression, I’d love to help you find that perfect phrasing. Let’s connect and create something beautiful together—because the right words can make all the difference. Simplyemail me at judi@judi411.com, and let’s start the conversation.
